What do the Background Check, Credit Check and Full Check reports look like?
TenantCloud provides three screening packages powered by TransUnion and Asurint: Background Check ($30), Credit Check ($30), and Full Check ($40) reports.

Let’s look closer at what each report offers.
A Background Check is a process a person or company uses to verify that an individual is who they claim to be. It provides an opportunity to check and confirm the validity of someone's criminal record, education, employment history, and other activities from their past.
Background Check reports include:
- National Criminal Search
- Instant State Data
- National Sex Offender Data
- OFAC/Most Wanted Searches
Background Checks are available in two coverage types:
- Essential - A standard package that includes in-network states/counties with the same-day returns and 55.8% coverage.
- Premium (for an additional $5) - An expanded package that includes in-network states/counties and up to 2 additional out-of-network state or county searches and 88.9% coverage.

A Credit Check report provides all the information about an applicant’s credit history that would be supplied to a creditor, delivered in an easy-to-read format.
Credit Check report includes:
- SSN Verification/Address History
- Bankruptcies Search
- Full Credit Report with Resident Score
Please note!
We don’t do any type of employment verification at this time. The credit report may show the most recent employer reported, but that’s only updated when a creditor actually reports employment that was listed on an application to obtain credit.

A Full Check is a process a person or company uses to verify that an individual is who they claim to be, and provides an opportunity for someone to check a person’s criminal record, education, employment history, and other activities that happened in the past in order to confirm their validity. It shows the record of the borrower's credit history from a variety of sources, including banks, credit card companies, collection agencies, and governments.
Full Check is the most comprehensive report available and includes a Background Check, Credit Check, and an Eviction-related proceedings report. A Full Check report includes the following:
- National Criminal Search;
- Instant State Data;
- National Sex Offender Data;
- OFAC/ Most Wanted Searches;
- SSN Verification/ Address History;
- Bankruptcies Search;
- Full Credit Report with ResidentScore;
- National Eviction Search.
Additionally, you can order a report called Income Insights ($6 add-on) to determine if the income information provided by the rental applicant doesn’t match the income information reported with their screening. This add-on will form the following reports:
- Essential Full Check Plus report ($46);
- Premium Full Check Plus report ($51)
Please note!
Essential Full Check Plus report with the Income Insights included will be automatically requested from the applicants when the screening is required for the application.

Once an applicant has completed their portion of the report and passed the identity verification, the report will be generated and accessible by the landlord and applicant for 30 days.
Screening reports can be requested for US residents only.
Once the report is ready, you will also have the option to print or download a PDF for your records.
Please note!
Each screening is only good for use on a single application. It cannot be transferred to applications for other properties or landlords. There are no set-up fees or any hidden costs. The screening fee is non-refundable. If you paid for the report, but the applicant didn't complete their part within the next 3 days, funds won't be charged.
