How do I unreconcile or ignore the transactions?
After you have compared and matched each transaction on your bank statement with transactions entered into the system your accounts are balanced and accurate. However you may unreconcile or ignore a transaction if needed. To do so, please go to the Accounting and select the Reconciliation subpage.
Unreconcile a transaction
There may be a few reasons for unreconciling a transaction. You might have reconciled it by accident, or it's an error and needs to be deleted.
If you’ve reconciled a transaction by mistake, you can remove it from the reconciliation report. Note that you can unreconcile one transaction at a time and these changes will unbalance your accounts.
Before making any changes, please double-check your opening, beginning, and ending balances to be confident that there are no errors.
Find the transaction you need to correct and follow the instructions:
Find the transaction. If the transaction is reconciled, you’ll see a reconciliation icon at the bottom of the transaction.
Go to the there-dot menu and click ‘'Unreconcile’' option. This removes the transaction from the reconciliation.
Select Save.
Ignore a transaction
Not every transaction (for example your personal income or expense) is an expense or a related income that needs to be tracked. For the non-relevant transactions you don’t want to include in the report, you can ignore them to remove them from the view. To do so, you will want to follow these steps:
Select the All or Reconciled tab.
Select the transaction you'd like to ignore and simply select the "Ignore" button using the three dots below.
This transaction will not be calculated in the statement balance.
Please note!
You can undo this anytime by going to the "All" tab.
If you still have problems with your reconciliation, reach out to your accountant.
