Understanding Subscription Changes, Credits, and Charges on TenantCloud
TenantCloud offers a flexible subscription system to meet various user needs. Below are details to help you understand how subscription changes, credits, and charges work on the platform.
Managing Subscription Plans
TenantCloud supports both monthly and annual subscription plans, allowing users to switch between them as needed. Here's how such transitions are managed:
Switching to the Annual Plan: To switch to an annual plan, navigate to Settings > Subscription > My Plan > Change Plan, then choose the Annual Plan and complete the checkout process. This action ensures you transition seamlessly to the desired plan.
Monthly to Annual Transition and Prorated Charges: If you move from a monthly to an annual subscription, the unused portion of your current monthly payment is credited toward the annual charge. While the checkout screen may display the full annual price, your final billed amount reflects this credit, showing only the prorated balance.
Credits and Checkout Display
Sometimes, you might notice discrepancies between the stated checkout amount and the actual charge:
Why Full Amount is Shown Despite Account Credits: Credits associated with your account don’t appear on the checkout page. However, they are automatically applied and deducted during payment processing. Even if the full subscription cost appears during checkout, the final charge includes any available credits.
Using Annual Payments as Credit: If you’ve paid for an annual subscription and decide to switch to monthly billing, the amount already paid remains as credit. This credit will then cover future subscription invoices and can also be used for other services, such as listing upgrades or paid reports.
Trial-to-Paid Subscription Transition
TenantCloud offers a two-week free trial that transitions into a paid subscription if no changes are made. Here’s how this process works:
Notification: Two days before the trial ends, you’ll receive a notification about the upcoming charge. This alert allows you to modify your subscription or cancel to avoid charges.
Automatic Transition: If no action is taken, the trial automatically rolls into a paid annual or monthly plan, depending on your initial selection.
Billing Specifics: Annual plans require upfront payment for the full year, while monthly plans are billed incrementally each month.
