How do I sign the lease agreement?

Once you are connected with your landlord/property manager, you must have a shared lease in order to view the rental information, pay rent online, submit maintenance requests, and much more.

To be able to sign a lease, you must be connected with your landlord/property manager. If you are not connected with your landlord, this article might be helpful:

Browser Instructions

You can view available lease agreements and rental information on your Dashboard menu > Leases tab.

If your landlord or property manager has required you to e-sign a lease agreement using the system, please log in to your account, and you will be automatically redirected to the homepage displaying the pending agreement or you can open the leases details. Click on the "Sign agreement" button:

In this step, carefully review your lease agreements provided by your landlord. If your landlord requires you to provide additional information in the needed textbox, then please add the information to the textbox. This textbox is required by your landlord, so you won’t be able to complete the move-in without providing this information Click on this element to type the response.

Find the elements where your initials or signature are requested and click “Sign here” to proceed. You can either type or draw your signature. Confirm your name and initials and click on the “Agree & Sign” button:

If your landlord or other roommates(if applicable) also signed the agreement(s), then their signature/initials will be shown the places they signed. Hovering on each signature/initial shows the first and last name of the person to whom it belongs.

Please make sure you have provided all the information on each agreement. Once you sign all the clauses you need, you will be able to open the next agreement.

To finish the process, click “Sign Agreements“.

Congratulations! The lease agreement has been signed.

Mobile App Instructions

If your landlord or property manager has required you to e-sign a lease agreement using the system, you will see the respective request on the Home screen of the TenantCloud app. Tap on it to open the Documents section of the related lease and use the Sign option on the Lease Agreements card to proceed:

Alternatively, you can find the Documents section from the Rent screen -> My Leases tab -> related Lease card -> Documents card. The Documents card will have an orange icon till there are pending documents to review and sign.

Here you will see the document sent by your landlord. Zoom in and scroll your screen to go through. In the case of many documents, you will see the total count of them in the top section of the screen.

Carefully review it. The green items will show where your actions are needed. Tap on them to either provide some information, or enter your initials and draw a signature. Tap Add to complete the action.

Note! You will need to provide your initials and/or draw your signature only once. For all future items, tapping on them will autofill the requested information.

At any time, you can exit the lease sign-in process by using the Cancel button at the top left. The document progress won't be saved in this case.

Once all required elements are filled, the "Next Document" button will become active. Tap on it to proceed:

Repeat the process with all the next documents. Once completed, use the "Sign" button to finish.

It will take some time to generate the files. You will see them available in the Documents section of the related lease details.

In case your roommates still need to sign the agreements, you will see the pending card in the Documents section.
