What Is The Difference Between A Handyman and A Contractor?

Updated over 3 months ago

The software offers a great opportunity for Service Pros to find jobs within the system. One of the required conditions is to pass the ID verification process and background check report.

After passing the background check, there is an option to select whether you are a person or a company that performs work on a contract basis, or whether you are a handyman (working without a license/certificate).

If you select the contractor's option, you will need to provide your license details (license number, license/certification type, expiration date, and issuing state) as well as information about the company you are registered under and your liability insurance details (your company name, your employer # ID/EIN, insurance agent name and company name, agent phone number and email address).

Please note! A license must be valid at least one month from the current date.

As a handyman, you will be directed to the checkout page to finish the verification process.

Note! The background check report is available for US-based Service Pros only. There is a $49.99 fee for the verification, and the background check report is available for one year. If your license expires earlier than a year, you can update it without any extra charges within the year.
