Tenant screening is a process used primarily by residential landlords and property managers to evaluate prospective tenants. The purpose is to assess the likelihood that the tenant will fulfill the terms of the lease or rental agreement and will also take great care of the rental property in question.
Landlords/ Property Managers can pay for the screening fee or request a payment from the potential tenant.
Tenant Pays Fees
If the landlord indicated that you are responsible for the payment, click "Pay for screening":
Accept the Terms of Agreement by pressing "Pay and Submit":
Fill out your personal information, enter the credit card number, and click "Submit payment":
Landlord Pays Fees
If the landlord has paid for the screening report, you will need to go to Feed Notifications and click "Approve request" by acknowledging the Terms of Agreement and pressing Continue:
Verifying Your Identity
In both scenarios, you will need to verify your identity by answering the questions that are based on your credit profile.
Note! You have 5 minutes before the session expires and a total of 7 attempts. This not only includes failures but also includes passes and unanswered/abandoned exams. Each time an exam is pulled, it counts as an attempt regardless of the outcome of that exam.
