Reconciliation Overview

Once you've reviewed and matched each transaction from your bank statement with the records in the system, your accounts should be balanced. However, if you need to correct or exclude a transaction, you can either unreconcile or ignore it.

Unreconcile a Transaction

Use this option if a transaction was reconciled by mistake or needs to be removed due to an error.

To unreconcile:

  1. Go to Accounting > Reconciliation.

  2. Locate the reconciled transaction (look for the reconciliation icon).

  3. Click the three-dot menu () and select Unreconcile.

  4. Click Save.

⚠️ Unreconciling will affect your balances. Be sure to review your opening, beginning, and ending balances before proceeding.

Ignore a Transaction

Use this option for transactions that shouldn’t be tracked - like personal expenses or unrelated deposits.

To ignore:

  1. Navigate to the All or Reconciled tab.

  2. Find the transaction.

  3. Click the three-dot menu () and select Ignore.

✅ Ignored transactions won’t impact your statement balance. You can reverse this at any time from the All tab.
