Will I be charged if my applicant didn't pass the identity verification?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The screening report will be generated as soon as the prospective tenant completes the identity verification.

Additionally, the identity verification process ensures the authenticity of the applicant's information, which is vital for generating a reliable screening report.

If you cancel the screening request, the applicant will receive an automatic refund for the screening fee. Further, you may submit a new screening request after cancellation if required.

If you choose to pay for a screening report, a temporary hold will be placed on your card for the cost of the screening package you selected, and you will only be charged for successfully completed screening reports.

This temporary hold is different from an actual charge and will be automatically released if the screening process does not result in a completed report. This ensures transparency and avoids unnecessary charges.

Authorization holds are temporary and usually appear as pending transactions. They are not actual charges and will be released automatically if the screening process does not complete successfully.

An applicant will have 3 days to accept the screening request and pass the identity verification. If an applicant fails to pass the identity verification or refuses to complete the process, your credit card won't be charged, and the funds will be returned to you in 3-7 days.

Additionally, if you wish to submit a new screening request after a cancellation, you may do so without the applicant being charged twice unless a new report is successfully generated.
