Is it possible for a tenant to have more than one active lease?

Updated over a week ago

Yes, you can move in a tenant to another property/unit if they already have an active lease.

To do so, open "Properties" from the left-side menu on your dashboard.

If you are using the New Navigation layout, open the Portfolio page from the Property Operations left-side menu to get to the Properties tab.

Click on the desired property card. Depending on the property status, there can be two options: move a tenant into the property or move a tenant into the unit.

If it is a single-family property, press the "Move-in" button in the upper right corner of the screen. If it is a multi-family property, press the "Move-in" button next to the necessary unit. After that, you can continue a regular lease creation procedure:

You can also move in a tenant straight from the Contacts > Tenants list.

If you are using the New Navigation layout, open the Renters page from the Property Operations left-side menu and switch to the Renters tab.

Here, by clicking the dots menu, you may “move in” a tenant instantly. Or open the tenant’s profile > click Actions menu > and select “Move-in”.
